Children’s TV is usually wholesome entertainment that can be enjoyed by the whole family, but child psychologist Mike Painter thinks there’s one show in particular — “Candle Cove” — that might not have been so innocent. No one seems to remember the 1980s show except for Mike, and he has ever-growing suspicions that it might have played a role in a series of nightmarish events from his childhood, including the disappearance of his twin brother in the summer of 1988. When he returns home to investigate what happened all those years ago, Mike finds out that it — whatever it was — may be happening again.
Channel Zero is an American horror anthology television series created by Nick Antosca, who serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer.[1] The series was greenlit for two 6-episode, self-contained seasons, slated to air in the fall of 2016 and the fall of 2017 on Syfy.[2] Storylines for the series are based on popular creepypastas. On February 9, 2017, Syfy renewed the series for a third and fourth season.[3]
The first announced installment, based on Kris Straub‘s Candle Cove, stars Paul Schneider and Fiona Shaw[4] and was directed by Craig William Macneill.[5] The series premiered on October 11, 2016.[6] Channel Zero‘s second season is based on Brian Russell’s The No-End House and directed by Steven Piet.[7][8] The season premiered on September 20, 2017.[9][10] Channel Zero’s third season will be based on Kerry Hammond’s “Search and Rescue Woods” and will be directed by Arkasha Stevenson.[11] The season will premiere on February 7, 2018
